I know most people have larger sized toiletries at home, but while traveling it's a good idea to minimize your items as much as possible. (Especially when flying, due to specific regulations.) The best thing to do is buy travel sized items from a Wal-mart or Target- at under $2 they are great buys! You can find travel size shampoo & conditioner, shaving cream, hair mousse, floss, and much much more! Wal-Mart also has little travel packs that include shampoo, conditioner, a toothbrush, toothpaste, razor, deodorant, and body wash. It only costs about $5(CAD), which is a SERIOUS bargain!
*CUTE-TIP: Do you have lots of miniature bottles of lotion and body wash laying around? Well traveling is a great time to get rid of them; No need to buy new ones, they're just the right size!*
Here are the items I have packed:
-Mini pure seduction body lotion from Victoria's Secret
-Travel size Secret deodorant that I got for free at Yonge and Dundas Square
-A Toothbrush (You can opt for a travel sized brush instead.)
-Oral B dental floss
-LUSH Toothy Tabs
*CUTE -TIP: Instead of bringing toothpaste on a trip, give
LUSH's Toothy Tabs a try. They come in a little matchstick sized
box- you simply bite them and brush like normal!*
-Travel size St. Ives Apricot Exfoliating Scrub
-Travel size Crest mouthwash
-Venus Spa Breeze razor, with blade on already
-1 refill for my Venus Spa Breeze razor (No shaving cream necessary)
-Travel size Moonlight Path body wash from Bath & Body Works
-Travel size Advil
*CUTE-TIP: It's always smart to bring a variety of medicines & First Aid supplies when traveling;
You never know what might happen, and it's good to be prepared!* (More on this in Part 3)
-Calamine Lotion; This will come in handy since my trip will be in a very tropical part of the world- meaning lots of mosquitoes. (More on this in Part 3)
-A shaving cream sample from LUSH
*CUTE-TIP: LUSH is a great place to pick up cool new product samples. And
just think- you can use them on your next traveling adventure. What a steal!*
-Samples of John Freida Anti-Frizz Serum that I got for free at school; I just poured them into an old LUSH sample container.
-A mesh shower puff
-LUSH's R&B anti-frizz product
-In the little Q-Tips pouch I've put a ton of band-aids, gauze, wet naps and of course Q-tips.
I've put all of this in a cosmetic bag that I received as a gift from the Body Shop. And now that you have all your toiletries packed, it's time to pack your luggage! Stay tuned for Part 3 in the How to Pack When Traveling Abroad Series.
