In Toronto, during the summer they have a promotion called “Summerlicious”. A lot of high end restaurants have specials available where you can have a
3 course meal for lunch starting from $15 or a 3 course dinner starting at
$25. From Italian food to Moroccan, and places from the Distillery District to
Yorkville, the choices are endless.
To take advantage of this deal, my friend, Fiona, and I met early in the afternoon to explore Yorkville. And later, met her brother and my sister for dinner at Ciao Wine Bar. Unfortunately, I had a huge dilemma the night before because I had no idea what to wear; Luckily, J was only a Skype call away and she was able to help me choose an outfit.
For a high class area like Yorkville, I wanted to dress accordingly so I chose a patterned skirt from H&M that I
bought last summer for about $12 and I paired it with a pale pink blouse that I
got from Winners for $17. Sadly, I didn’t have any sandals to match this
so I borrowed a pair of black flats from my sister. (NOTE TO SELF: Don’t wear
flats if you plan to walk around in the hot sun all day. Bad call.) I also wore my big and shiny black purse from H&M, I bought it about 3 years ago at just under $40. Lastly, for my jewelry
I went simple: my usual Return to Tiffany heart tag necklace, silver peace sign
earrings, stacked silver rings, Pandora and faux tiffany bracelets.

My Bestie Fiona |
My friend Fiona wore a cute black high-wasted skirt with a sheer royal blue blouse tucked in. She paired it with a simple silver bracelet, pearl earrings, and
a beautiful silver matchstick necklace. She completed the outfit with a Le Pliage
Longchamp bag, which was the perfect size for a day downtown. She’s so trendy
and cute, love it! Here’s a picture of her sipping some Passion fruit Bubble
Tea. >>

She and I started our day at the center of Yorkville, at the corner
of Bay and Bloor in front of Birks to be exact. We made our way around all of Yorkville; visiting some of the expensive stores located there like Chanel, Hermes, Anthropologie and Aritzia. We
passed by Michael Kors, Louis Vuitton, Mendocino, Sephora, William Sonoma,
Gucci, Burberry, Cartier and many many more that I wish I could afford to shop in.
After a lot of walking, we took a break with some free samples of Starbucks new refreshinging
drinks and sat in front of Birks. It was so hot that the drinks were a great way to rehydrate, but the flavors Cool lime and Hibisicus Very Berry were just OK; they had a little bit of a plant
taste so I wasn’t too thrilled about that. After our cool down, we headed to
Pusateri’s, the Canadian version of Dean & Deluca, and bought some pastries (A cannoli, chocolate hazelnut macaroon, and a berry tart), then I hit up Starbucks for a
Passion Tea Lemonade on Ice. YUM.

We ended our day at Ciao Wine Bar for our $25 Summerlicious dinners. I started with the Caprese Salad, my main entree was Chianti Braised Short Rib with creamy polenta and for dessert I had Tiramusu. They were all so delicious! I had such a great day in Yorkville, Toronto.
